What's Happening in Our World Now . . .
There is so much that has happened, and is happening, in our world! Living here in Nashville, it has been inspiring to see how this community has pulled together and is beginning to rebuild from the devastation caused by the tornado. And now, our country is experiencing the outbreak of the Coronavirus. At this time we need to stay positive and take the needed steps to protect ourselves and others. Through these times the human spirit shines brightly as lines of division are starting to be put aside to help each other.
If you have special stories you would like to share about what you are doing to make a difference, send to wynnestarmusic@yahoo.com. ~ Wynne

It was exciting to meet with Galaxy of Stars Entertainer Chelsea Arnold in Branson, Missouri on my way back from Nebraska to Nashville! With a saddened heart, I along with each of our Galaxy of Stars® team express our heartfelt sympathy as we lose one of our Galaxy of Stars® family, Ron Grimes from Central City, NE.
I met Ron over 14 years ago when he entered a local Galaxy of Stars® Talent Search in Grand Island. I remember his sparkling eyes and big smile as he handed me his entry form! When he got on stage, we all could see he felt right at home! He loved to sing and entertain. Almost every year he came back to a local talent show to compete and competed several years at the Nebraska State Fair. Ron was also invited to be a part of the Galaxy of Stars® Spectacular Show performing with our entertainers at county fairs. He added a special touch to the show with his upbeat personality and entertaining style as he sang “My Way,” “New York, New York,” “For The Good Times" and many other classic crowd favorites. I always knew when the season for Galaxy kicked off because he would be the first to |
send me his entries, which would come in a box and were on VHS tapes along with his Songwriting entries on a cassette tape. He was excited when some of his songs placed Top Fifteen in the Songwriting Contests. Ron was a true inspiration to me and to so many that he met. Performing was his passion. While he was able, he never stopped doing what he loved!
I think back to 2012 when I went to my mailbox and saw a package from Ron. I thought it might be another song he was entering in the songwriting contest, as he kept writing new music that he was excited to share. When I opened the package and read his heartfelt note, tears came to my eyes. Ron had written a song to me entitled, “I Could Use A Smile.” He said he always remembered my smile. I will always remember his! Ron will be missed by all of us but his memory will live on in our hearts. Tonight when we look up in the evening sky there is a new star shining down on us. ~ Wynne

Nashville's own Jim Brown has continued to grow in popularity since the release of his earlier singles "By God" and "Those Jeans," both of which garnered strong airplay on independent radio and led to his debut appearance on the Grand Ole Opry with his 2017 release, "Honky-Tonk Women.”
This newest 6 song project again blends a rockin' swagger ("That's What I'm Talkin' 'Bout) with impish wink of humor ("I Could've Killed You.") and Brown's love of country tradition ("Whiskey on the Ground.”)
Whether you're lookin' to pound the dashboard while you sing along at the top of your lungs or just kick back with your feet up and lend an ear...this new collection will have you hitting "repeat" again and again.
